All serious fishermen tell stories of being caught in the rain and getting soaked to the skin. Bringing fish home for dinner made any earlier discomfort worthwhile and increased bragging rights. That was certainly true of Jesus’ disciple/friends, but Pentecost deluged way beyond their robes and soaked them to the heart, so that they found themselves delving deeper into Holy Spirit waters than ever before imagined.
