Vineyard Church of the Peninsula welcomes you!
We meet in the afternoons (1:30 – 3:00 pm) at St. Marks Lutheran Church, in Yorktown. We are currently meeting via Zoom until further notice. If you’d like to join us on Zoom on Sunday mornings at 10 am, please email us at email@example.com. We are glad to be in Hampton Roads as members of the growing Community of Vineyard Churches across the US and beyond. As a church of families we like to celebrate the life Jesus has given us. Ours is a contemporary, non-stuffy manner when we meet. When you visit, you’ll find normal people sipping caffeine and munching on some kind of donut or other similar nutrition source. We try to focus on making our 21st Century lives work with The Bible as a ‘Life Bible’. We sing, pray, teach and encourage. And we like each other, often hanging around long after our meeting time is over. Whether you just moved to Hampton Roads, got transferred here, have lived here forever, or are just vacationing here, we’re always excited to include new folks in our family. So, the welcome is sincere. Drop in some time!
Because we are ordinary people who have been given an extraordinary message, we, from the get-go, freely recognize that we need a lot of help. Long-term, our commitment is to equip people, build relationships and bring hope to our hurting world. And that, as we live everyday lives, with school, jobs, marriage, kids and other fun stuff. In all the challenges, the sense of family and community gets stronger and richer and provides the stick-to-it-iveness for all of us to go the distance.
VCP is a smaller, casual, friendly church, with a relaxed, intimate atmosphere. We emphasize building relationships as an integral part of Kingdom building.
There is children’s church during the sermon time for kids aged K-5 through 5th grade. It is our hope to grow our children’s ministry, and hope you will consider visiting and becoming a part of our family!
