All in Jesus

Preacher:
Passage: Luke 15:12-32
Service Type:

Scripture talks of spiritual blindness, the inability to discern Truth as Jesus presented it. We sing, ‘Open the Eyes of my Heart, Lord’ in acknowledgement of the grandeur of the glories of our Salvation and the inferiority of our comprehension. God is a God of mysteries, but chooses to reveal Himself, little by little, to us. All truth is permanently available to us, but we speak of awakenings, revivals, renewals, and breakthroughs as those special times when God chooses to ‘open the eyes of our hearts’ in unusually powerful ways. The Apostle Paul defines it this way: “Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God knows me completely.” (I Cor. 13:12, NLT).
