After the Stone is Rolled Away
Jesus’ disciples, if they experienced anything in their time with their Savior-friend, Jesus, it was being overwhelmed. Surely, by the end of that traumatic week in Jerusalem during the Feast of Passover with Jesus’ arrest, trial, beating, crucifixion, death, and burial, they had been brought to their knees spiritually, if not physically. For all the elation and celebration and intimacy of their three lifechanging years together to be so cruelly destroyed before their disbelieving eyes, was beyond devastating. But they, like us, had a great deal left to learn about the workings of God’s Kingdom.
