Our God is a God of purpose, of precision, of planning, of perfection, of purity. His sphere of infinite influence shatters all human perceptions. His ways are higher than our ways. His thoughts are not our thoughts, says the Prophet Isaiah. His weakness is stronger than our strength, Paul says. All things hold together in Him – things in heaven, things on earth, and things under the earth. He observes all of history in a single glance. Everything from Creation to the very End of the Age is laid out before him. Timing is a tool in his toolbelt. He sees the human timeline and determines ‘fullnesses’ of time which speak of His interventions, His visitations, His ‘new things,’ His ‘in-breakings,’ each of which surprises, stuns, scares, and ultimately, satisfies, His children.
