Paul and his fellow church planters encountered major, sometimes violent, opposition in their travels throughout the region. There were snakes and stonings and shipwrecks and sabotage and secret plots and solitary confinements, but none were able to deter them from their assignment. Instead of the trials and setbacks and animosity prompting them to slink back to Jerusalem with finger pointing and blame-shifting, the Holy Spirit in them provided the steel to not just persevere but to achieve a level of ‘not’.
