The Resurrection Scheme of Things

As the Holy Spirit continued wooing souls, sweeping them into the newborn Church of Jesus, the persecution, from both Jewish leaders and Roman authorities, continued its dark mission with corresponding intensity. However, it soon became clear that there was an unusual dynamic at work. The opposition was, paradoxically, increasing the appeal of the upstart movement called The Way and causing a greater influx of Jews seeking the refuge and hope promised in the Good News of the Kingdom of God. Joseph’s story (Genesis 50) was proving to be not an isolated incident, but a still-standing God principle – what the enemy meant for evil, God was turning around for good.
