Jesus ascended to the Father. The Holy Spirit came. The first Gospel message preached, ushered 3 000 souls into the newborn Church of Jesus Christ. The eleven remaining disciples became impromptu midwives to this flood of baby Christians. The overwhelming reality of continuous, rapid growth forced them to wait on, and learn to follow, the Spirit’s directives. Fortunately, there had already been a prayer investment made on their behalf of which they were largely unaware.
