“Surely I am coming soon.”

Amen! We agree! Come, Lord Jesus.” Rev. 22:20

If our heart and soul long for home, long for His ways, long for Him, then why are we here? Simple question, simple answer, yet easily forgotten.  We are here for somebody else.  There is something wonderful, beautiful and unique that God has done for us and in us that will impact someone’s eternity.

Every breath that we breathe is an opportunity to join our favorite ‘partner in crime’ Jesus Christ our Redeemer in drawing someone else to Him.  In Ephesians 5 Christ encourages to make the most of every opportunity. Every moment, every interaction, every day.

We are in a spiritual battle. We as believers are like B-2 bombers coming into enemy territory in stealth mode. We are just waiting and listening intently for our Chief Commander to give the order to launch the specific attack on Satan’s strategies and grand scheme to keep people separated forever from the God who loves them.

We may be the seed planter or the harvester but here are some inspirations from others that have come across my path that have helped me to be on the offense for His Kingdom.

  • Raks- random acts of kindness.  can be seeds planted leading to relationship leading to     presenting the Good News
  • Value the Humanoids-Notice people’s names everywhere you go. Say their name and ask them questions that show genuine interest. Then follow up with a visit remembering them and their stories.
  • Be generous on all occasions- Tip as much as you can, not as little. This shows that we have encountered great generosity so we are just sharing what has been given to us.
  • Fast and pray- fast Tv, social media, eating, to pray for lost loved ones. Reach out in some way in keeping step with the Holy Spirit
  • Servant Evangelism- Do something for free. No hooks, no gimmicks. At Anaheim Vineyard we did a $1 car wash. When they went to pay a dollar we gave them one instead, and loaded them up with other stuff as well. People are dumbfounded and ask lots of questions, because this is not normal.
  • Plan a fun activity for your neighbors. A bbq or ??? This can build bridges. Maybe it could lead to connecting with other Christians in the neighborhood and a Bible study in the park, worship among a fire pit, etc.
  • Ask the server how you can pray for them, and if they let you pray for them, do it right then and there.

These thoughts are not deep, not profound but maybe just a little reminder to inspire us to make the most of today and please reply and add to the list to keep what matters most going on forever because He indeed is coming back real soon!
