Radically, and Transformationally, Normal

Passage: James 1:18 James 1:22-27, James 2:8-9, Ephesians 2:10, Romans 12:2

The fire and fury of Pentecost was the needful, mesmerizing introduction to the taking up of residence of the Holy Spirit in the day in, day out, lives of Jesus’ disciples. They were ordinary, uneducated, unassuming, unspectacular men, chosen and trained by Jesus to live out loud, through the agency of the inherited gifts of the Spirit of God, extraordinary, bold, spectacular lives. The pure genius of this move of God, the installing of His Spirit, His power, (His glory, even!), within society’s least expected! Jesus’ unsuspecting group of followers was invisibly transformed into something akin to Kingdom Ninjas who, from that point forward, found themselves challenged to live out radically and transformationally normal lives.
